Speaking of the track, vocalist Brogan says,
"You're Not Right is a tune is about living
with a chronic mental illness which absolutely ruined my life in 2017. I have chronic Panic
Attack Disorder, and was diagnosed around that time because I was not able to function
normally anymore in society.
“I didn't leave the house for months because I was so embarrassed about possibly
having a panic attack in a public place, and I went nowhere aside from work, and back
home again. I lost touch with a lot of my friends, and it crippled my confidence for things
like driving, or even going out to get takeaways from the shop. Every task that involved
being around other people was impossibly hard to manage, and it happened really
suddenly.
“I have never had to face a struggle like that in my entire life, and getting better was the
hardest thing I have ever done. I wrote this tune on the back of that illness as the
condition started to improve - it is written from the perspective of my anxiety, as though it
were a person, to try and help me rationalise the lies that my mental illness tells me that I
believe”.
